City at the foot of the Andes
The capital of Chile. A clean city that is surrounded by mountains, which gives it uniqueness and special beauty. On the one hand, there is a ski resort, on the other – the sea. Local cuisine and positive residents are surprising here.
The main attraction is the central Plaza de Armas. It was erected in 1541 and the first powder warehouse was built on it, where the military were based. Therefore, the square was called surrounded. Here a monument was erected to the founder of the city – Pedro de Valdivini, cardinal – Jose Maria Caro. Also located is the municipality, the house of governors and the museum of pre-Columbian art, which opened its doors in 1981. He deserves honor among tourists and locals. The founder of the museum, Sergio Moreno, is a Chilean architect and collector. He personally selected the building in order to bring the entire collection together. Objects of everyday life and culture of Indian tribes, ceramics and textiles, archaeological finds that were collected in the regions of South America. An interesting place to visit is the Valle Nevado ski resort. Located 60 km from Santiago at an altitude of 3025 meters. It is considered the best ski resort in South America. Ideal for both beginners and professional snowboarders and skiers. Here you will enjoy mountain snow and beautiful views of the Andes. You can ride yourself or hire an instructor. The equipment is new and equipped with safety devices. At the end of the active day you will be able to relax in the outdoor heated pool or visit the spa. For children there is a recreation area where friendly staff hold games and events.
If you like riding and cycling, dream of an amazing holiday, exciting walks, delicious and unique food, then be sure to come to rest in Santiago. But if you are going to warm up in the sun, enjoy a beach vacation, then you should not come to Santiago, because the sun here does not warm well and the winds are strong.

Picturesque port city
The tourist falls under the charm instantly. Attracts with a mild climate and beaches. The city is divided into two parts. In the upper part there are old streets, residential areas, friendly residents. The lower part pleases the port, administrative buildings. And they are associated with their unique funiculars, which are the heritage of the country. Funiculars are old, but that’s the beauty. Take advantage of the trip on it must. They were built at the end of the 19th century. Pleasure will be cheap, interesting, but unsafe for those who are afraid of heights.
The heart of the city is Sotomayor Square. It was built in 1906 on the samples of Parisian government structures. A monument was built on the square to the heroes of the battle in Ikike Bay – sailors who fought for their homeland. Under the monument is a mausoleum in which the last shelter was found for the dead. On the other side of the square access to the port and the local market where you can buy souvenirs.
The famous Pablo Neruda, a Chilean writer and diplomat, made a direct contribution to the development of the country. In honor of him, a house museum was opened and named after him. Originally equipped, inside decorated with mosaics and has unique collections. Especially interesting is the Russian, which Pablo Neruda collected for many years. An audio guide is provided at the entrance to the museum, but if you wish, you can hire a guide. In the backyard there is a viewing platform overlooking the city. In the house-museum you will feel the spirit of the era, how the poet lived and worked. For those who go to Valpariaso for the first time, we will give advice: buy cards in tourist kiosks, because the city looks like a maze of dead ends, where even locals can get lost, and the probability of getting lost with the card is much less.

Keep in mind, everything is expensive in the city because everything is imported.
Easter Island is rich in attractions, one of which is Tongariki Bay. Visiting this place, you will see 15 stone sources whose height reaches 15 meters. They are categorically impossible to touch and come close. The weight of the statues is about 900 tons. The next interesting place is the extinct volcano Rano Raraku.
